52nd Annual Cactus Antique Airplane Fly-In
Today
through March 6
Casa Grande Airport
Casa Grande
This aviation event held at the City of Casa Grande Municipal Airport, hosted by the Arizona Antique Aircraft Association with the City of Casa Grande, will be held Friday, March 5th and Saturday, March 6th from 8am – 5pm, both days. This event, sponsored by the Arizona Antique Aircraft Association, is one of the largest and longest-running events of its kind in the country and has called Casa Grande home
for more than 25 years. Some of our nation’s most historically significant aircraft have attended the Cactus Fly-In including the recently restored Sikorsky S-38 twin-engine Flying Boat that was used by Martin and Osa Johnson to explore and photograph Africa from 1933 through 1934 and a 1945 Boeing Stearman bi-plane that was owned and flown by the late actor Steve McQueen. Antique, Classic, Warbird, Replica and Homebuilt aircraft will be on display throughout the event. From antique airplanes to NASA astronauts, the Cactus Fly-In attracts those in love with aviation and those who visit or live in Arizona. For more information contact Terry Emig at 520-836-7447
