The Spanish past is very present--and very scenic--in southeast Arizona. Links in the chain of 24 missions that Fr. Kino established in the late 1690's include Tumacacori and San Xavier del Bac.

All-day carnival celebration (admission required) from noon to 10:00 pm. Fireworks at 9:00 pm.
