Flagstaff Wine & Food Festival
Today
Pine Mountain Amphitheater
Flagstaff
The inaugural Flagstaff Wine & Food Festival will take place Saturday, June 19, 2010, Noon – 6:00 p.m., at the Pine Mountain Amphitheater in Flagstaff, Arizona. The Festival is produced by Friends of Coconino County Parks, Pine Mountain Amphitheater, and Coconino County Parks and Recreation Department, and sponsored by Sunwest Bank, Meteor Crater Enterprises, and KNAU.
The event is a celebration of sustainable agriculture through its delicious wines and local foods. Regional winemakers will offer samples of their best wines and talk with festival‐goers about their unique winemaking process. Many of northern Arizona’s finest restaurants will also be at
the Festival, showcasing food samples that utilize locally‐grown produce and meats. Vintners and chefs will have the opportunity to speak with festival‐goers both at their booths and on a more intimate level through a series of mini‐lectures. No matter whether you are a wine novice or wine connoisseur, you are sure to learn something new about wine and food at the Flagstaff Wine & Food Festival!
Several vendors will offer local food items and art for sale, and there will be an extensive silent auction full of wonderful wine and food, art, and tourism‐related activities. All proceeds of the silent auction will benefit Friends of Coconino County Parks, a private, non‐profit organization whose goal is to improve the quality and integrity of the County parks, trails, and open spaces.
Additionally, a quartet from the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra and the Jack Webb New Orleans Jazz Band will entertain with their music.
Tickets to the Flagstaff Wine & Food Festival are available in advance for only $10 through www.pinemountainamphitheater.com. Admission provides five wine tasting tickets (with additional wine tasting plus food sampling tickets being available inside the gates). A commemorative wineglass will also be provided for the first 1,000 attendees.
Pine Mountain Amphitheater is located in Fort Tuthill County Park, just south of Flagstaff. To reach the park, take I‐17 to Exit 337 and cross Highway 89A. Follow the signs to the Amphitheater. For more information, please visit www.pmamp.com or email fccp@rocketmail.com.
