2012 Summer Concert Series
At The Arboretum at Flagstaff
In collaboration with Flagstaff Cultural Partners, The Arboretum at Flagstaff presents their 2012 Summer Concert Series, featuring performances by regional acts with folk and world music influences. Concerts are held on the first Saturday evening of June, July, August, and September at 5:30pm on the outdoor stage at The Arboretum at Flagstaff. Musical performances take place under the shade of the cool pines with a view of the San Francisco Peaks, rain or shine.
Tickets for all shows are $16/general public and $13/members of The Arboretum or Flagstaff Cultural Partners. Youth ages 3-15 are $8/ticket, and youth under 3 are free. Tickets can be purchased online at www.culturalpartners.org by clicking on “Summer concert series at the Arboretum” link, by calling (928) 779-2300, or by visiting the Coconino Center for the Arts or the Arboretum Visitor Center. (Purchases of tickets at member price are subject to verification of membership.)
Concert-goers may bring food and non-alcoholic beverages for a picnic setting. Picnic blankets or concert chairs are encouraged. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the venue. The concert series is perfect for those beautiful Flagstaff summer evenings!
The Summer Concert Series is a partnership with Flagstaff Cultural Partners and The Arboretum at Flagstaff. The Series is also sponsored by Findlay Toyota of Flagstaff, Radisson Woodlands Hotel in Flagstaff, Coconino County, and the City of Flagstaff / BBB Revenues.
Kailin Yong Peace Project Trio – September 7, 2012 at 5:30pm
Kailin Yong’s solo album is titled “Bowing with the Flow,” which consists of all original tunes inspired by his exploration of different world cultures. From this album, he started the group called the Kailin Yong Peace Project Trio. They have been putting on Peace Concerts all along the front range featuring upbeat fiddle with an inspiring message.
