Millville and Rock Art Discovery Trail
This interpetive trail (handicap accessible) traverses the historic Tombstone-related silver milling town of Millville, which is across the San Pedro River from Charleston, another ghost town. Within this site are three locations of Hohokam-era rock art. The first 1000 feet of trail is a universally loop trail. The lower trail takes visitors to two rock art sites with inerpretive panels addressing the art. The upper trail takes visitors near the mill ruins. This trail is a project of the Sierra Vista Rotary Club to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of Rotary International. This collaborataive effort also includes the efforts of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Friends of the San Pedro, and Southwest Gas.
