North Rim Grand Canyon mountain bike tour
Adventure Cycling Association
7 day van supported mountain bike tour of Grand Canyon North Rim for $1099
Adventure Cycling's North Rim Grand Canyon van supported mountain bike tour has rapidly become one of Adventure Cycling's most popular tours. Why? A small group with an expert guide, no crowds, and 150 miles of unsurpassed riding along the wild, remote North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Linking forest-embraced four-wheel drive paths and canyon-rim trails, this very special tour takes riders through seldom-visited sections of Grand Canyon National Park and the adjacent Kaibab National Forest. After exhilarating days of riding, participants will camp under dark skies embroidered with more stars than you've ever seen. Picture leaning back against a rock on the edge of the Grand Canyon -- no parking lots or car campers in sight -- sipping a hot beverage as the sun sets over the red- and purple-hued labyrinth below. Inhale the crisp air and meditate on this geologic miracle, and maybe get lucky and see an immense California condor soaring high on canyon thermals. For anyone who relishes the freedom of self-supported travel, mountain biking, and wild country, there's no better week-long trip in North America. Grand Canyon equals Great Cycling. This is a van supported, guided, mountain bike tour. August 30 - September 5, 2013. Tour is limited to 13 riders.
